Wednesday deliveries - FedEx update

Our UK delivery service (FedEx) has given us the news update below.


Launceston (16/72/81/172) have advised that due to the severe weather being experienced on the A30, some deliveries to TR postcodes may be affected.

Gloucester (26) have advised that due to the RTA on the M5 last night and its subsequent closure, widespread traffic congestion is being experienced, therefore deliveries to Gloucester and Cheltenham may be affected.


Belfast (64) have advised that due to adverse weather conditions the ferry sailings have been delayed, therefore any freight exiting Parkhouse and Marston Gate will incur a 24 hour delay.


Chorley (51) have advised that due to a RTA on the A6 into Lancaster resulting in severe congestions, deliveries to LA1 postcodes will be affected.


Littleborough (90) have advised that their bulk vehicle covering BD postcodes has broken down, therefore deliveries will be affected.


Exeter (15/115) have advised that they are currently experiencing heavy snowfall in North Devon, therefore deliveries to EX20, EX21, EX22, EX31–EX38 will be affected.


Channel Islands (4 & 6) have advised that due to severe weather today’s ferry sailing will be running at least eight hours behind schedule.  Therefore all deliveries arriving by surface freight for Areas 4 & 6  will incur a 24 hour delay, this will remain constant for the remainder of the week.


Swansea (98/28) have advised that Tata Steel based in Port Talbot are now not receiving deliveries until the New Year. Anything that needs to be delivered must have a contact name and mobile contact number.


Aberdeen (69) have advised that further ferry disruptions and cancellations are forecast for this week, therefore deliveries will be affected.


Isle of Man (53) have advised that further ferry disruptions and cancellations are forecast for this week, and the backlog as a result of the previous disruptions is currently one day behind.


Inverness (88/89) have advised that they have a fair bit of snow on all routes above 200m which will affect all deliveries (88 and 89). They also have quite a bit of ferry disruption due to high winds which will affect depot 88 deliveries.


Glasgow (71/171) have advised that they are experiencing severe weather (high winds and localised flooding) throughout their region, therefore deliveries will be affected.
