Sharing God's Love in Uganda

Staff from Beacon Books, Llandudno recently went on a mission trip to Uganda taking with them a box of Penfold’s Share God’s Love Squeeze Balls. Marian writes:

“It’s hard to believe how much a little ball can mean to a child who has nothing. As soon as we started distributing the balls, there were smiles all round and they were immediately being thrown into the air accompanied by shouts and laughter.

"We were visiting a school which has classrooms but little else, just a few posters, blackboard, and teachers who are so committed that they are accepting utterly minimal wages.  There are no desks, no exercise books or stationery and yet the children’s singing and desire to learn was incredible.

"We are now trying to find sponsors at £15 a month for the 170 children attending the school so that the teachers can receive a proper wage and are therefore more likely to stay.  We are also trying to raise funds for desks, stationery, etc.

"The balls were a great success, and did 'what it says on the tin' – share God’s love.”
